Stirling Winter Graded Meet success!

Our Winter Graded Meet was fantastic!
Despite the many challenges we faced - the closure of the Peak resulting in having to find a new venue, changing the programme from 2-day to a 1-day event, etc. - the Meet was a great success.  A huge thanks to the many people involved in overcoming these obstacles to allow the Meet to still go ahead.

And on the day, there was tremendous effort from everyone involved.  Indeed, almost every swimmer had at least one family member contributing in a variety of roles.  Many of you were a little daunted at the prospect, but you really pulled out all the stops on the day and it all ran like clockwork.  We hope you enjoyed your tasks, got a better insight into the running of a gala, and feel more confident to support your swimmer(s) and the club at future Meets.  We are also very grateful to the parents who didn't have anyone competing, but who still came along to help with the running of the Meet.  The overall team spirit was outstanding, and even new friendships have been formed.  So thank you everyone.

Thanks also to everyone who donated prizes to the raffle.  It raised £223 in total.

Finally, a sincere thanks to our colleagues from Alloa and Grangemouth Swimming Clubs whose expertise on computers, loan of and setting up of equipment, and refereeing was grateful received.

We hope the swimmers thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.  Thanks also to our coaches for their support not just poolside on the day, but at all training sessions as well.

Our next Meet is the Stirling Spring Meet on 13-14 April, location TBD.  We hope a few of you will return to try out your newfound skills at this one.

Thanks once again!
