Club Champs a huge success!

The Swimming Club Champs have now completed - and there were some cracking times!!!

With over 120 swimmers taking part each night, we hope everyone enjoyed themselves.  There was participation from all sections of the club - swimmers from junior development, development, potential, JPS, SPS, Club and Disability squads, Hannah from waterpolo and Andy from Masters helped with timekeeping, and StarFish members cheered on their siblings - a tremendous effort from all!  Swimming requires a huge dedication from all family members, so thanks to parents, friends and family in the balcony for your great support while the racing took place.

There was an outstanding turnout of volunteers this year, both poolside and upstairs at the entry/ raffle desks and shops.  It was also lovely to see so many new faces amongst the officials.  New timekeepers, you all did a fantastic job, thanks for stepping up to it, and look forward to seeing you at future events (remember our graded meet on 20/21 Jan!).  And "old-timers", thanks for your continued support.  Special thanks to some officials who didn't even have any of their children swimming!  And the fundraising team did a brilliant job on the entry desk, selling raffle tickets, and manning the shops.  Without our willing volunteers, the Club Champs just would not happen, so thanks to you all.

Swimmers' times will be posted on the old website in the next few days.  Though not accredited, these may be used as entry times for upcoming galas in the new year.

Medals and trophies will be presented at our ceilidh on Saturday 24th February 2018.  Participation medals will also be presented.

Lastly, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!  Here's to many fast swims in 2018!
