The last four days have played host to the club's annual summer camp, rounding off a great 2011/2012 season. The Olympic -themed camp brought together 44 swimmers swimmers from all squads within the club. All swimmers were divided into 5 teams, each team being a colour of the Olympic rings.
An exciting training opportunity has presented itself to the Stirling Swimming Club. For the first time in a number of years a selection of younger swimmers will be participating in a specialized training camp in a dedicated sports facility during the half term holiday week in October 2012.

Joe Welstead raced in the 100m breaststroke setting a new life time best in the heats and qualifying for the semi finals. An excellent semi final swim against some of the best breast strokers in the world saw Joe take another drop in time to finish in 13th place overall in 1.03.1. This weekend Joe heads off to Dunkirk to race in the French Olympic trials.
With just 2 days to go until the start of Olympic and Paralympic trials in London, the Stirling swimmers are looking good and feeling fast
